Syracuse City Schools
Robertson Strong Apgar Architects
was selected by the Joint Schools Construction Board, a committee of
the City of Syracuse, to provide architectural and engineering services for
the Blodgett School. The JSCB made their selection based on the
rankings of the received proposals "This is another major milestone
accomplished," according to Mayor Matt Driscoll, who is chairman of the
board. The Blodgett School is on the near west side of Syracuse and it
will be renovated and additions added to create a technologically advanced
Pre-K through 8 school.
NYS Air National Guard
The firm of Robertson Strong Apgar Architects was
selected for a state wide contract for various Air National Guard facilities
in New York State. The selection process involved the
Department of
Defense, the Air National Guard, and specific locations where work will be
undertaken. The contract will include upgrades, additions, and
renovations at Fort Drum, the Air National Guard 174th unit in Syracuse, and
other state wide locations to be announced.
YMCA - North West
After an extensive selection process including careful
review of architect's qualifications RSA was awarded the contract for the
Northwest YMCA. The new YMCA facility will be located in the growing
Radisson Community, Hal Welsh stated the purpose of the YMCA is to build
"strong kids, strong families, strong communities." The facility
will be a new building located north of Rte 31 and will feature a full array
of activity spaces, gymnasium, and aquatic center.
